If you hold a VBB-Umweltkarte (a monthly ticket or a 7-day ticket, for example), you can take along another adult and up to 3 children who are between 6 and 14 years of age. This offer is valid Mondays through Fridays between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. the following day and on Saturdays, Sundays, and on public holidays* all day. Children under 6 can use public transport free of charge.
Regarding tickets at reduced prices, please remember that the age limit for children has been raised from 13 to 14 years of age as of 1 April 2008.
* Please note that Reformation Day is a holiday in the federal state of Brandenburg only.

Dogs |

If you take along a dog you need to validate a reduced priced ticket for the dog (except for small dogs that are carried in appropriate boxes). Holders of daily tickets, small group tickets, daily group tickets for pupils, or commutation tickets can take along a dog at no charge but need to validate a reduced priced ticket for further dogs.

Bicycles |

Bicycles can be carried in designated wagons of underground, suburban trains, trams, or regional railway transport if there is enough space provided (staff determines if required). Prams and people confined to a wheelchair have priority over bicycles if there is lack of space. Cyclists are not automatically authorized to take along their bicycles. Who wants to take along a bike occasionally needs to validate an appropriate ticket for bikes. The price varies and depends on the designated tariff zones.
People travelling more frequently by bike may purchase a monthly ticket for bikes: the ticket costs 8.50 EUR for each of the following tariff zones: Berlin AB and the cities of Brandenburg a.d.H., Cottbus, Frankfurt (Oder), or Potsdam. The ticket costs 15.50 EUR for the VBB overall network.
