Daily ticket, weekly & commutation tickets

This ticket is ideal for passengers who like to travel by public transport for a day until late at night. The ticket can be used the day of validation for any trips until 3 a.m. the following day. For a reduced ticket, the age limit for children has been raised from 13 to 14 years of age.

VBB overall network day ticket
The VBB overall network day ticket is a new offer to our passengers. The ticket costs 19 EUR and enables a person to use all VBB public means of transport for a whole day within Berlin and Brandenburg. It is valid Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. until 3 a.m. the following day. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays*, the ticket is valid between 0 a.m. and 3 a.m. the following day. The daily ticket for the VBB overall network is non-transferable and not available at a reduced price.

* Please note that Reformation Day is a holiday in the federal state of Brandenburg only.

This is our offer to people who travel more frequently by public transport. The VBB-Umweltkarte is either valid for one calender month (including the last day of the previous month and the first day of the next month) or from the day of validation on for one month (for instance from 26 January until 25 February). The ticket is transferable and can be purchased by everybody. Additionally, you can take along an adult and up to 3 children ( 6 to 14 years of age) Mondays to Fridays from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. the following day as well as Saturdays, Sundays, and on holidays all day.

Please note: The raised age limit for children from 13 to 14 years of age is also effective for children that are taken along by holders of a VBB-Umweltkarte. The ticket is available as subscription or as annual ticket.

The monthly ticket for school students and apprentices are personal commutation tickets for which debit cards can be obtained at any ticket service centre of the transportation associations. In order to achieve such a ticket, it is necessary to submit a passport photo and your student’s ID or your indenture (plus your ID). This non-transferable commutation ticket is either valid for one calendar month or from the day of validation on for one month. A 7-day-student’s ticket is available also - except for the tariff area of Berlin.

VBB-leisure-ticket
As April 2008, the VBB overall network leisure-ticket for school students and apprentices will be introduced and costs 15.00 Euro per month. The ticket enables you to use your annual ticket, annual subscription, and school student’s ticket (that must be valid for at least 10 months) for the VBB overall network for one month. The VBB-leisure-ticket is valid Mondays through Fridays from 2 p.m. on as well as all day on weekends, holidays, and during school vacation.

This is an offer to anybody who does not use public transport before 10 a.m. The ticket can be obtained for the tariff zones AB, BC, and ABC as monthly ticket for a calendar month. The ticket costs about 29 % less than the monthly ticket VBB-Umweltkarte. It is valid Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. until 3 a.m. the following day and all day on Saturdays, Sundays, and on holidays. The ticket is also transferable and can be purchased by everybody. It is not possible to take along another person.

The 7-day-ticket is ideal for everyone who wants to be mobil for one week only by public transport. The ticket is valid for 7 consecutive days beginning on the day of validation (date of stamp); for instance from Tuesday up to and including next Monday. The ticket is transferable and available for everyone. The 7-day-ticket is also available for the VBB overall network. You can take along people as holders of the VBB-Umweltkarte can do.

If your company placed the appropriate contract, its employees can obtain this ticket and save money. You then obtain a subscription or an annual ticket for a VBB-Umweltkarte including a 5 per cent discount. This business ticket is a personal commutation ticket and therefore non-transferable. Holders of such a business ticket need to buy a separate ticket if they want to carry a bike or take along other people.

This ticket has been designed for students of the universities and universities of applied sciences which signed an agreement with VBB’s transport associations and the VBB. When a student has enroled in a university, the student automatically receives further information about this ticket. Regulations vary depending on the university:

The non-transferable Berlin-Ticket S is an offer to beneficiaries since 1 January 2005. Holders of a valid debit card Berlin-Ticket S can use any public means of transport within Berlin's tariff zones AB.

Beneficiaries are the following:
- Welfare recipient (SGB XII)
- Recipient of unemployment benefit (Arbeitslosengeld II bzw. Sozialgeld (SGB II))
- Recipients of benefits for asylum seekers according to law
- Family members of recipients specified above
- Prisoners and convicts in open prison who take part in an external programme

The Berlin-Ticket S debit card can be obtained at:
Your district authority (Bezirksämter in Berlin, Geschäftsbereich Soziales, Jugend, Grundsicherungsämter), the State Office of Health and Social Affairs (Landesamt für Gesundheit und Soziales), and any job centre of Berlin.

Monthly token
Monthly token are available at any selling point of BVG and S-Bahn GmbH. In order to purchase a monthly token Berlin-Ticket S, it is mandatory to submit your valid debit card, a passport photo as well as your photo ID. The debit card Berlin-Ticket S is only valid in combination with a valid Berlin-Ticket S- token for the current month.

A pram, dog, luggage as well as children up to 6 years of age (on ferries a maximum of 3 children) can be taken along for free. If carrying a bike, a single ticket for bicycles must be purchased. The ticket is only availabe for a whole calendar month and not available as annual ticket or subscription.
